is / are being ... ( present continuous passive )

- Sombody is painting the door. ( active ) : 누군가가 문에 페인트 중이다.

- The door is being painted. ( passive ) : 문이 누군가에게 페인트칠을 당하고 있다.

 

My car is at the garage. It is being repaired. (=somebody is repairing it.)

Some new houses are being built posite the park. (=sombody is building them)

 

is being cleaned ( continuous )

is cleaned ( simple )

 

has / have been ... (present perfect passive)

- Somebody has painted the door. ( active ) : 누군가가 문에 페인트칠을 했었다.

- The door has been painted. ( passive ) : 문이 누군가에게 페인트칠을 당했다.

 

My key has been stolen. (= somebody has stolen it)

My keys have been stolen. (= sombody has stolen them)

I'm not going the the party. I haven't been invited. (= nobody has invited me)

Has this shirt been washed? (= has sombody washed it?)
